
OBJECTIVES OF OUR PROGRAMME
The Gold Coast Police-Citizens Youth Club Outside School Hours Care aims to provide a quality service for children and their families. We promote learning and development while recognizing the importance of social interaction and recreation. We encourage the principles of good citizenship. We will continually improve our knowledge, improve our practices and maintain a positive relationship with our families.
PARENT/CHILD INFORMATION CONFIDENTIALITY
All records relating to families using our services are secured in a safe location where unauthorized persons will not have access to this information.
HOURS OF OPERATION/ LATE FEES
Before School Care 6.30am – 9.00am
After School Care – 3pm – 6.00pm
Vacation Care 6.30am – 6.00pm
A late fee applies for children left after the 6.00pm closing time. After this time, an additional charge of $5 per minute will be incurred per child/family. This fee will be invoiced to the family’s child care fees.
CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE
Children must be accompanied into the Club by the parent/guardian and officially “signed in” to the program each day. Likewise Staff must be aware when the child is leaving the premises for the day, therefore the child must be “signed out”. If your child is to leave the Club unaccompanied during the day (e.g. to ride a bicycle home), the parent must advise the Co-coordinator by way of providing a written note. Children are required to wear a hat during outside play.
IMPORTANT: THE CLUB HAS A NO HAT - NO PLAY POLICY
Therefore if a child arrives with no hat, the club will supply a hat and the cost of that hat will be added to your child care statement.
EXCURSION DAYS (as per program)
With regards to our “duty of care” we adopt a security system for the safety of your children on Excursion Days; therefore we do not allow children to be dropped off or collected from the Excursion venue. All children participating in the Excursion must leave the Club on the transport provided and return to the Club premises. There will be no deviation from this rule! Please have your children at the Club by 8.30am on Excursion Days unless informed otherwise. Children are to wear a RED T-shirt on Excursion Days. Please remember suitable footwear e.g. sand shoes, hat and also a spare T-Shirt if participating in a water activity.
Vacation Care Daily Fee
- $40 per day and a deposit is required at the time of booking of $30 per child.
- Excursion Day Fee is $50 per day.
- Vacation care fees need to be paid in advance of commencement program.
Before and After School Care Fees
- Before School Care-$11.00 including breakfast.
- After School Care Fees- $15.00 includes afternoon tea.
- We drop children to school and pick them up in our courtesy bus.
- All fees need to be paid a week in advance.
Child Care Benefits
Families are entitled to CCB (childcare benefit) Full fees must be paid until confirmation of entitlements has been received. If claiming Child Care Benefits, it is essential that your child is registered as using our service with Centrelink. If you are uncertain, please contact Centrelink on 136150 before booking your children into our program.
Our service provider numbers are: 555 010 502 T for Vacation Care. Before and after school has a separate provider number which is 407 311 194 T- for parents ease it is advisable to register for both services initially.
Very Important Points to Remember!
Vacation Care:
Bookings for our Vacation Care program will close on the Wednesday before the program commences. However, we cannot guarantee that there will be still vacancies available up until this time especially for excursions.
All children participating in our childcare programs must be members of the QPCYWA.
Payment - A deposit of $30.00 per child is required at the time of booking. This amount is deducted from your account. An invoice will then be issued for your child care fees for the program, please check that the bookings are correct. Your childcare fees must be paid in advanced that is on the first day of the program. Failure to comply with this policy may result in your child/children being removed from our rolls.
Refunds and Changes in Bookings
In Club Days -A credit will apply if bookings are cancelled 24 hours prior.
Excursions – A credit will only be considered if bookings are cancelled 24 hours prior and there is a waiting list for that day.
All other requests will only be considered by the Branch Manager or Administrator on an individual basis.
Before and After School Care - A credit will apply if bookings are cancelled 24 hours prior.
