CLUB INFORMATION
The Gold Coast PCYC is one of 46 branches of the Queensland Police-Citizens Youth Welfare Association. The first Police-Citizens Youth Club in Queensland was established in 1947 at Lang Park in Brisbane. The Gold Coast PCYC was established in 1974 and began with a small building at Surfers Paradise before moving to the clubs present premises at 180 Monaco Street, Broadbeach Waters.

The club has now grown dramatically in size with the current building consisting of a Main Stadium hall, padded Judo room, large Boxing room with boxing ring, Dance/Karate room, Recreation/Meeting/chill out room, two Tennis courts and children’s playground. A new stand alone state of the art Gymnasium was opened early November 2005.

The Gold Coast PCYC has since developed into an organization with around 30 staff and over 6000 members at the end of 2009. The Gold Coast PCYC now provides over 40 sporting & recreational activities for persons of all ages from new born babies group to retired persons.

The Gold Coast PCYC is managed by two police officers the manager at the rank of Sergeant and a senior constable as assistant manager. All other staff are employed by the club and paid out of club budgets. Income for the club is generated through club activities and other fund raising activities including major sponsorship received from a number of local businesses.
